Yun Zheng, M.D., Ph.D., M.Sc., Aud(C)
Dr. Yun Zheng has been practicing as an ENT doctor in China for more than 20 years. She has a PhD in Clinical Medicine at West China School of Medicine of Sichuan University in China and a M.Sc. in Audiology at the School of Human Communication Disorders of Dalhousie University in Canada, and passed the certification examination as an audiologist by CASLPA. She has been specializing in audiology as well as an ENT doctor for 17 years and is one of the leading audiologists in China. Her work has focused on developing hierarchical outcome assessment tools for young children with hearing loss including hearing, speech, and language assessment tools in order for the best optimal (re)habilitation outcomes. Since 2014, she has also started to focus on treating difficult-to-treat patients with ear-nose-throat diseases, especially with tinnitus, vertigo, hearing loss, and those who have sleeping difficulties with Yi Shi Therapy (YST) which is mainly based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, together with Western Medicine. She has been closely working with Dr. Peng Liu to learn and investigate treatment outcomes treating tinnitus patients with YST for about 3 years and successfully treated a lot of difficult patients from all over China. Dr. Zheng has been the principal investigator for about 20 research projects and published 120 peer-reviewed papers in the field of clinical audiology.
