Future Research Directions

The NCRAR’s future research aims to meet the needs of current and future veterans. To this end the NCRAR will initiate new studies in these priority areas:

1. rehabilitation of blast-related and noise-induced auditory injury
2. rehabilitation strategies based on plasticity of the central auditory system
3. telehealth and web-based audiological services and programs.
