The Conference's opening reception and keynote address will be held at The Nines Hotel in downtown Portland on Wednesday, October 12th.

The beautiful Nines Hotel provides convenient access to the Portland VA Medical Center (where the Pre-Conference workshop will be held) via bus, and to the World Trade Center on foot (0.3 miles) or by light rail.

A block of hotel rooms for conference attendees was held at the Nines Hotel until Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Update 9/22/11: BASED ON AVAILABILITY, you may still be able to reserve a room at the Nines Hotel at the reduced rate. Please contact Whitney Johnson ASAP at 503.802.4829, and tell her you are with the NCRAR Conference group. Note: to receive the special $113 per diem government rate (if available/applicable), you must identify yourself as a government employee at the time of the reservation. You will need to present your government ID upon check-in to receive the $113 government rate.

Rates:

For government employees, the per diem rate (if available, after 9/22/11) is $113, per single or double room.

• To receive the per diem rate, you will need to present your government ID upon check-in. Note: your credit card will initially be blocked for the conference rate of $159, but your credit card will only be charged $113 when you check in. 

For all other attendees, the special conference group rate (if available, after 9/22/11) is $159 per single or double room, a substantial savings from the standard $209 rate.
