Dr. Mitchell has developed innovative psychophysical as well as cochlear and auditory brainstem response testing protocols to evaluate peripheral auditory function. His 20 plus years of expertise with these functional tests will be applied in the Center to more accurately diagnose veteran hearing disorders and develop effective rehabilitation strategies. He is currently collaborating with Drs. Fausti, Lilly and Vaughan on the NCRAR project entitled, "Early Detection of Ototoxicity by High Frequency Objective Evaluation."
