Roger M. Ellingson, MS

Computer Software/Hardware Engineer, NCRAR. Mr. Ellingson has experience in all phases of design and development of customized, PC-based medical testing instrumentation systems. His work at the NCRAR has resulted in the development of a high performance auditory brainstem evoked potential acquisition system, which features a very flexible DSP-based precision stimulus generation and signal averaging system. He has also developed unique specialized software for waveform generation, editing, and scoring of the multiple-stimulus presentation trains currently under investigation at the NCRAR and has continued to work on the development of automated tinnitus evaluation systems. His work also includes the development of data acquisition and analysis systems used for testing and measurement of the autonomic nervous system, multi-channel EEG, and visual evoked potentials. All systems include integration of raw, edited, and scored data with standard desktop database applications to assist in efficient management of research project information.
